Edgy depiction or not? It reminds me of the derogatory cartoon sketches made of black guys in certain lunatic groups. Or maybe its just the harmless fact that the whole point of a caricature is to emphasise what stands out the most.
Way back when I was in school I used to carry a notebook everywhere I went to record daily thoughts and observations. Offensive? Or No?
